Rattan and bamboo containers come in various sizes and were light to carry. Backpacks were woven for specific purposes and were often designed based on gender, age and use. Containers made out of clay or wood usually bear a design, either carved or etched. These were used in storing liquids such as water and rice wine. The collection also includes containers for storing locusts, spices, meat, and for carrying meals.
